Transcript text:

Michael Horowitz:

(upbeat music)

Hello, I'm Michael Horowitz, Chair
of the Pandemic Response
Accountability Committee or PRAC.

Congress created the PRAC
to ensure transparency
and accountability and pandemic spending
and to fight waste, fraud and abuse.

As part of its anti-fraud
efforts, the PRAC partners
with the Justice Department's
covid 19 Fraud Enforcement

Task Force, to provide innovative
and timely investigative
support from our data scientists
and law enforcement agents.

Today's announcement by
the Deputy Attorney General
demonstrates the results
of the practice efforts
and partnerships.

To help bring wrongdoers to
justice, the PRAC created
a data analytics center that powers
pandemic fraud investigations.

Our analytics platform
provides law enforcement
with critical data, sophisticated
technical assistance
and tangible resources to
help identify and investigate
complex fraud schemes.

PRAC data scientists and
agents are a key component
of the government-wide anti-fraud effort
and we've delivered
results as announced today.

Please visit our website
pandemicoversight.gov to use
our interactive tools, to see
how pandemic funds were spent
and to see how we're fighting
fraud, waste, and abuse.

Thank you for joining me today.
