All Pandemic Awards

This is the most extensive dataset we provide, and includes the prime recipient pandemic-related data reported by federal agencies to USAspending.gov. This includes sub-recipient data reported by the prime recipients. Our dashboard displays federal assistance and contracts for all pandemic programs.

Coronavirus Relief Fund (CRF)
$150 billion

This fund was established to help State, Local, and Tribal governments navigate the impact of the COVID-19 outbreak. This program has ended with all funding obligated and spent. 

Data was collected by the U.S. Department of the Treasury Office of Inspector General.

Economic Impact Payments (EIP)
$814 billion

These payments, also known as stimulus checks, were issued in response to the pandemic's impact on the economy. The IRS based the amounts that individuals received on income, tax filing status, and number of children (or qualifying dependents, like a relative). There were three rounds of payments sent out, starting in March 2020 and ending in March 2021.

Education Stabilization Fund (ESF)
$275 billion

This fund was established in response to the pandemic's impact on the nation's students. The ESF includes: (1) the Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ESSER) Fund, (2) the Governor’s Emergency Education Relief (GEER) Fund, (3) the Emergency Assistance to non-Public Schools (EANS) Fund, and (4) the Higher Education Emergency Relief (HEER) Fund.

Emergency Rental Assistance (ERA)
$46 billion

Find how much funding states, counties and cities received and spent, and how many households in each location got help. This program was established to provide funds to help households pay rent or utility bills.

Homeowner Assistance Fund (HAF)
$10 billion

This fund was established to provide financial help to homeowners. These funds were sent to states, the District of Columbia, U.S. Territories, and Indian Tribes or Tribal entities to assist homeowners with mortgage payments, homeowner's insurance, and utility payments.

Paycheck Protection Program (PPP)
$811 billion

Search for borrowers and lenders of PPP loans, see how recipients reported using the money, and learn whose loans have been forgiven. This program was established in response to the pandemic's economic impact on the employment of the nation's workforce.

Provider Relief Fund (PRF)
$186.5 billion

Search for health care providers that were reimbursed for increased expenses or lost revenue. The PRF was established in response to the pandemic's impact on the nation's Medicare facilities and health care providers. This dataset is no longer being updated.

Restaurant Revitalization Fund (RRF)
$28.5 billion

See a detailed breakdown of restaurants, bars, and other qualifying businesses that received money through this program. This program provided funding equal to qualifying businesses' pandemic-related revenue losses up to $10 million per business and no more than $5 million per physical location to help keep their doors open.

Shuttered Venue Operators Grants (SVOG)
$16 billion

See which movie theaters, museums, concert halls, and other venues got grants to help recover from the effects of the pandemic. This grant program was established in response to the pandemic's impact on the entertainment industry. This dataset is no longer being updated.

State and Local Fiscal Recovery Fund (SLFRF)
$350 billion

This fund was established in response to the pandemic's economic impact on the nation's local governments. Direct payments were sent to state, local, territory, and Tribal governments to assist with economic recovery. There were two rounds of payments sent out to recipients. Read our FAQ.
