The Emergency Management Performance Grant (EMPG) Program is a critical program that aims to address the problem of disasters and emergencies, including those resulting from climate change, by supporting and improving emergency management capabilities at all levels of government. The primary goal of the FY 2023 EMPG Program is to strengthen state, local, tribal, and territorial emergency management agencies’ preparation for and response to emergencies and disasters at all levels.
